Our Queen Suites (& King Suite) have ample room for you to enjoy your time in Port Fairy, whilst our famous Attic Rooms, in the historic part of the inn, overlooking Port Fairy's wharf, may be small (with cosy, antique iron double beds) but full of charm & atmosphere! 

Crisp white sheets, new doona's & woolen underlays make for a very cosy night's sleep.

Fresh flowers & homely touches abound throughout the house and we hope you make the Merrijig your home away from home whilst you are here.

Enjoy our communal lounge-room with open fire or the TV Room & library, kitchenette with tea & coffee making facilities. Just ask Hannah or Liz to make you an espresso, flat white, long black, as our machine is always on in the afternoons! 

Grab a few magazines or book from our library and hang out infront of the open fire for the afternoon - the weather is quite conducive to this sort of activity at the moment! Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the house.

There are many quiet corners in our garden and at the moment we are waiting for Spring to begin, so that we can get planting in our lovely big new kitchen garden.  Any advise or comments to improve our garden would be greatly appreciated!

A great country-style cooked breakfast is available!

With the quiet of Port Fairy in the background making for terrific sleeping, wake up to the quiet mutterings of our 4 silkie bantam girls (Molly, Pickle, Buffy & Pink) in the kitchen garden to enjoy a country-style fully cooked breakfast in our garden conservatory from 8.30 - 9.30am.

We feature many local producers for breakfast - local free-range Kaz's Googs (Heywood) eggs, Greenvale (Willaura, Grampians) Bacon, Schulz Organic Yoghurt (Timboon), Mojo Museli, house-made breakfast fruits, freshly squeezed seasonal juices & local Port Fairy made preserves.  We make our sourdough white & wholemeal bread on site and hope that you will enjoy it all!  Coffee / tea and the daily paper finish it all off nicely!

King Suite

King size bed (or 2 single beds), bathroom with bath, seperate shower, seperate living area with TV, ipod dock, sofa bed and private ground floor entrance.

Queen Suites

Queen size bed, bathroom (1 with bath), sitting area (or seperate lounge) with TV, ipod dock, located on the ground floor.

Attic Rooms

Upstairs, wrought iron double bed (1 room has 2 single beds), views of the wharf through the Norfolk pine trees, small ensuite bathroom. A downstairs communal TV Room is available.

Reception is open from 3pm - 6pm daily and check out is at 10am (late check-out can be arranged).
