The Merrijig Front Bar might be Port Fairy’s smallest, but it’s a little gem.
Our wine list is carefully chosen to align with our flavourful & rustic food and has been awarded '2 glasses' (Highly Recommended) by @GTWineMag 2022 Wine List of the Year Awards eleven years running.
We pour delicious local, regional & international wines focusing on smaller producers who use sustainable practises to craft wines that speak of place.
This extends to the spirits in our bar too: small + local + the odd memento from trips abroad; seasonal cocktails that make the most of the Merrijig Kitchen Garden (boozy or booze free), a snappy little beer list… And bar snacks! Did we mention the house made charcuterie and our penchant for pickles?
Afternoon drinks in Summer must be done in the garden bar. Where else would you rather be? Picnic rugs under the pines, a view of the River Moyne, Bring the kids too… making new friends as beverages and snacks flow from our little garden shed.
